April Health partners with primary care practices to provide a hybrid behavioral health solution that combines human care management with AI-driven support to improve patient outcomes, reduce provider burden, and generate new revenue for our partners. Patients conduct regular sessions with our care managers, receive guidance from psychiatrists, and our AI Therapeutic Coach helps patients between sessions, maximizing the value that patients receive in our program.
Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and personable Account Management & Partnerships Associate to build and maintain strong relationships with primary care clinics across North Carolina. This role is responsible for ensuring that our partnered clinics have the support they need to successfully implement and sustain our collaborative care model. Additionally, the role involves engaging with non-partnered clinics to educate them on how April Health can enhance their mental healthcare offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Clinic Relationship Management (Existing Partners)
- Conduct regular in-person visits to partnered primary care clinics to strengthen relationships with providers and practice managers.
- Gather feedback from clinics on their experience with April Health’s services and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct and assist in onboarding/training sessions for new clinic partnerships.
- Provide guidance and best practices to clinics to enhance engagement and program success.
- Collaborate with April Health’s internal teams to address any clinic concerns and implement solutions.
Business Development (New Partnerships)
- Identify and visit potential primary care clinics in the region to introduce April Health’s collaborative care model.
- Build quick bonds with the front office staff with the goal of scheduling lunch-and-learns with providers to share more about April Health’s model and our benefit to clinics.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of interested clinics and facilitate follow-up discussions with the April Health sales team.
Additional Responsibilities
- Track and report clinic interactions, key takeaways, and opportunities for improvement.
- Represent April Health at regional healthcare events and networking opportunities.
- Stay informed on trends in primary care and behavioral health integration.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Mission-driven: passionate about helping expand access to mental health
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, healthcare administration, public health, psychology, or a related field.
- Personable, friendly, willing to talk to anyone, and having a friendly and curious attitude that inspires trust and reliability.
- 2+ years of experience in account management, provider relations, business development, or a client-facing role
- Ability to travel frequently within North Carolina by car. This employee will be on the road at least 10 business days a month (up to 3 hour drive from Charlotte).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, flexible, persistent, with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a field-based sales or provider engagement role.
- Experience coordinating and running events
- Experience working directly with healthcare professionals
